The Art of Rolling
This is the second in our workshop series, taking place on the 6th of August and focusing on one of the most fundamental skills in parkour. Rolling is an intricate and sophisticated locomotion form, and one that is often neglected or under-trained not only by parkour practitioners but by movers in every discipline.
In the Art of Rolling Workshop, Dan addresses this skill gap, teaching the foundation movements for developing a good, practical rolling form for your body. Rolling is in fact the very first form of human locomotion, something we do as infants before we crawl. It’s entirely natural, extremely good for the body, useful if you fall or trip, and truly enjoyable once understood!
Everyone will start from the very beginning, meaning that this workshop is suitable for those new to rolling as well as more experienced practitioners looking to correct, improve and explore their rolling skills. We’ll be covering fundamental progressions and development, skills, applications from drop jumps, corrections to form, achieving an instinctive roll and using rolling as a general movement tool. That’s a lot to fit in, so come prepared to move and bring a notebook.
Booking is now live, so secure your place now and get ready for some serious learning – that’s just how we roll here at PKG.
