Parkour Hits Australian Schools

STUDENTS at Grace Lutheran Primary School in Australia have swapped slides and swings for a very different type of playground.

The school has its own parkour playground for Year 5 and 6 pupils. Sandgate PCYC coach Madison Parr, funded through a Federal Government School Sporting grant, teaches pupils how to use the equipment correctly and safely.

Ms Parr said she had really enjoyed working with the Grace Primary pupils and was impressed with how eager they were to learn the parkour skills. Grace Primary PE teacher and sports co-ordinator Sue Coghlan said they thoroughly enjoyed learning the techniques involved in parkour.
