So Covid-19 has hit, and hit hard. Everyone is having to adapt, make changes, find solutions, and we have been very busy doing exactly that.
We appreciate that there’s huge uncertainty in these turbulent times and we want to reach out to help everyone – both our Members and everyone in our amazing community, which YOU are part of – to keep moving, stay healthy and find the positives within the challenge.
The PKGen philosophy is one of embracing adversity, adapting to find positive solutions and then sharing those learnings to help others overcome their own challenges. This current situation is a perfect opportunity for us all to practice what we preach and put that philosophy into action.
Government recommendations from bodies such as Sport England and Public Health England are to keep training and stay as healthy as possible to maintain a strong immune system. Outdoor exercise is still permitted at this time – so parkour is your perfect solution!
We’d like to share with you what steps we are taking to help provide support and we’ve addressed a few of the most pressing questions below…
We already have some fantastic at-home Strength & Conditioning Programming available online, which will continue to be provided: in fact we have been busy planning for this worst case scenario for some time and have embraced digital technology to ensure not only that we can help you stay physically fit but also mentally supported and connected.
This will include, but is not limited to:
Online Training. We will be providing all our class programming online via our Truecoach App! Calisthenics, Handbalancing, Mobility & Flexibility, Natural Movement, Parkour… This is FREE for all Members, along with automatic 1-1 coaching with our London Team. Online Classes. We are rolling out Online Classes throughout the week to get you moving in your own home and in the company of the wider community. We will also be holding live Coaches Corner sessions for people to get insight, support and help from our incredible team. Email us for details!
Members Facebook Group. Please join the London Parkour Academy Members Facebook Group, where we’ll be sharing stories, posting info, tips, advice and holding a space for everyone to support each other, no matter what happens.
Daily Content. Our social media channels will be posting daily content such as at-home workout ideas, challenges, good reading recommendations, insight into the team’s training and more. And we want to hear from YOU so tag @pkgenlondon and come talk!
Parkour Pics. We all need to stay positive and connected. Share your training pics, home challenges and isolation solutions with us by tagging @pkgenlondon and we’ll help spread the love around!
We have already been blown away by the amount of Members reaching out to us personally to show their support and commitment, and we’ll repay that support tenfold! There’s nothing that communities of strong, compassionate individuals can’t overcome and we know that this will, in the long run, make us even stronger and even closer.
