Off the ski slopes and onto the rails
“It was a warm, summer’s evening in East London and, as the sun set over the city, an eclectic group of sportswear-clad urbanites gathered in an old warehouse. You might be thinking this doesn’t sound unusual in our modern, metrosexual society. But this wasn’t a Yogalates or Bikram yoga session; we were visiting Parkour Generations at The Chainstore Parkour Academy to find out how the freestyle movement discipline can help us keep fit in the off-season and improve our time on the mountain.”
Last week, members of the Ski Club of Great Britain left the slopes for the concrete and metal of the Chainstore. Read about how their preconceptions about parkour were challenged, and what they learned at our regular Parkour Elements: Balance and Beginner’s Parkour classes here.
