Dispatch Times – Homo naledi was Prehistoric Parkour Athlete
We often say that parkour, while sometimes being seen as a “new” thing, is in many ways very old. Recently, two scientists uncovered some ancient fossils that suggest some earlier hominids could climb as well as they could use tools.
“According to BBC News, the scientists published two papers in the journal Nature Communications detailing the remains of the ancient human ancestor that were found in a cave in South Africa – one on naledi’s hands and the other on its feet.
He added: “Humans are like every other animal on the planet”.
This does pose a bit of a mystery, though, as it is believed naledi could have lived millions of years ago, and that it had a brain about the size of a modern chimp’s brain.”
