UK ADAPT Certification Courses 2016
With the release of the Parkour UK ADAPT course dates for the upcoming year, we’re already excited about 2016.
ADAPT (Art du Deplacement And Teaching Programme) was created by the founders and pioneers of parkour/freerunning (including the original Yamakasi and the traceurs from Lisses, Paris – the birthplace of parkour) and the founders of Parkour Generations and is the recognised international standard for professional parkour coaching. In the UK the ADAPT coaching qualifications are administered by Parkour UK in conjunction with 1st4Sport Qualifications, are CYQ accredited and were the first of their type in the world. ADAPT Qualifications is the worldwide awarding body for parkour coaching certifications.
The Level 1 (Assistant Coach) qualification aims to enable people to assist a coach running a parkour session, while the more demanding Level 2 (Coach) qualification requires mastery of the mental, technical, and physical aspects of parkour, as well as extensive experience in teaching effectively. The Level 3 (Master Coach) qualification is a diploma-level course.
Take a look at the Parkour UK website for provisional dates and locations for 2016, and keep an eye out for further updates from us regarding the extensive international course dates for ADAPT next year.
