In 2009, in conjunction with environmental and political lobbyist organisation Sandbag, we organised the One Giant Leap campaign in order to promote awareness of the need to reduce carbon emissions ahead of the UN Copenhagen Summit of world leaders. The event was and remains to this day the world record for the largest single training day for parkour practitioners around the world, with over 125 cities participating in over 35 countries. Footage of the hub event in London that September day can be seen HERE.

We have just been informed that the campaign is now in the final three to win the 2011 European Public Affairs AwardsThe Awards aim to highlight success and encourage best practice throughout the European public affairs community. This is a huge achievement and accolade for what was an unprecedented event that showed the incredible spirit of the global parkour community in coming together for a good cause.

You can read more about the campaign goals and effects HERE. We'll keep you posted with how the voting goes, and hopefully One Giant Leap will be recognised as something truly special.
