Hero Round Table London: May 12-13 2017
Ever wondered just what makes someone act like a hero – or not – in any given situation? Would you do the right thing under pressure? What defines heroic action and how can it impact our everyday lives? The best place to find the answers to these questions and more is at the international Hero Round Table events – which comes to the UK for the first time ever this May!
Parkour Generations is proud to be an Official Supporter of the Hero Round Table London, and our own co-founder Dan Edwardes will be among the incredible lineup of speakers for the event which will be hosted at London’s iconic Barbican centre on May 12-13, including Joe DeSena, founder of Spartan Race, and former CEO of Marks & Spencer, Andrew Lord Stone of Blackheath.
From the Hero Round Table website:
INSPIRING & INSTRUCTIVE
The focus is on numerous high energy and punchy TED-like talks designed to inspire, motivate and showcase individual and everyday heroes and heroic initiatives. These sessions are presented alongside a series of practical workshops aimed at empowering attendees by providing them with the skills, knowledge and courage to stand up and be the heroes in their own lives and communities.
Most importantly, the Hero Round Table has created a worldwide community dedicated to practicing heroism. We have spurred academic research on what makes people do heroic things, and we help regular people act on what we’ve learned. We spread a simple idea: that you have the power to make a change when it matters most.
Early Bird tickets are now on sale until March 10th and are great value, and will go very fast so don’t hang around. This really is a unique and very special event which will inspire, motivate, educate and inform you and connect you an incredible international community of people looking to make a positive difference in the world.
